The Furies

This image of the Black Fury was use previously in my Fox Heroes line up image. Though here it is in a more detailed scale along with his partner "Kid" Fury.

When I developed this I had the idea that instead of being the usual Batman and Robin partnership, it was actually the other way around. "Kid" Fury isn't actually a kid, she's a 23 year old woman of small stature who is the actual brains of the operation. She's Charlene "Lenni" Marlowe, her father was police detective who died on the job under mysterious circumstances. The department assumed he was dirty cop that got double crossed by his associates. Lenni was certain he wasn't and set out to try and clear his name. While she was well trained as a detective by her father, and years of martial arts and weapons training kept her in good shape, she was still too small to pass the entrance physical for the police academy. She found an unlikely ally in Jim Shelby, a wealthy heir who took up costumed crime fighting under the Green Mask disguise. She convinced him to trade in identities and become the Black Fury, and the two of them began doing their part to fight crime.
